What is involved in CAPM/PMP certification?
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a globally recognized entry level qualification for those involved in project management. The 150 question, 3 hour, multi-choice examination is based on the PMBOK® Guide and is taken on-line at a Prometric Testing Centre.
The Project Management Professional (PMP) is the main qualification from the PMI. The 200 question, 4 hour, multi-choice examination is based on the PMBOK Guide and is taken online at any Prometric Testing Centre.
ZIDNY’s PMP Examination Preparation Workshop is designed to provide candidates who have already acquired a thorough understanding of generic project management with the specific coaching required to pass the PMP examination. Candidates with little or no previous knowledge of formal project management techniques should first attend our generic five-day Project Management course. ZIDNY’s CAPM Examination Preparation Workshop is designed to prepare attendees for taking the CAPM exam but can also be used as an overview of the PMBOK Guide approach.
We also offer a Blended Programme (onsite only) – a unique combination of state of the art web-based modules mixed with specially tailored classroom sessions and virtual classroom tutorial sessions to consolidate learning.
PMP certificates need to renew every 3 years to maintain their certification. This is achieved by earning Professional Development Units (PDU’s) – 60 PDU’s need to be earned in order to re-certify. As an REP we are empowered to award Category 3 PDU’s for our courses.
